Lego Emmet C2C birthday present
My youngest tiny human is turning 5. And like most boys, he LOVES Lego, including the Lego Movie and therefore the star Emmet Brickowski.
2 weeks before his party he decided he wanted maman (aka me) to crochet him a Emmet. I scoured Pinterest for a pattern … but nothing.
With only 2 weeks, I didn’t think there’d be enough time for anything big, but started a massive C2C … 45 ‘blocks’ by 71. With completed with HDC it measures a whopping 25” by 42.5”. It turned out to be the same size as my youngest tiny human.
I’ve never undertaken a C2C of this size … and the graph I created was going to be filled with color changes. At the most complicated point I had 26 bobbins/balls of yarn on the go. The graph design was inspired from a pixelated photo I found in a google search. After a few modification I complete this:
While it was the most complicated C2C I’ve completed, with my “flip turn and pull” method using a tray - I was able to complete in just 2 weekends. My video on youtube shows you how!
I’m more than pleased how it turned out …and so is my tiny human. Happy birthday little one! Je t’aime gros comme le ciel! <3
